The site, when this repository has one: the deployment and the local build of it.
One configuration, two surfaces, because the same source is built twice for two
different mounts and neither build is a copy of the source. The deployment owns / of
whatever origin it is published to and is never served by this process; the local build
is made for DOCS_MOUNT and is never published. Nothing about the site is assumed:
its existence is read from its own configuration, and a repository without one has
neither surface.
