I3117 — The README and the launch page say only what master does about model invocation, doctrine dispatch and overrides

Reconcile the model-invocation clause of README.md:20-21 ('never invokes a model') and docs/LAUNCH.md:44 and :61 with master, where scripts/advisor-consult carries questions to advisor CLIs, and state that an expedited landing is a recorded override. Qualify README.md:207-212 as the doctrine dispatch of lib/doctrine.sh and lib/check.sh, distinct from the CI ratchet baselines. Add each corrected sentence to docs/CLAIMS.yaml so claim-proof-check holds it to a test.

Ready. Every dependency is done, so majordomus plan start I3117 will be accepted.

Objective

Reconcile the model-invocation clause of README.md:20-21 ('never invokes a model') and docs/LAUNCH.md:44 and :61 with master, where scripts/advisor-consult carries questions to advisor CLIs, and state that an expedited landing is a recorded override. Qualify README.md:207-212 as the doctrine dispatch of lib/doctrine.sh and lib/check.sh, distinct from the CI ratchet baselines. Add each corrected sentence to docs/CLAIMS.yaml so claim-proof-check holds it to a test.

Why

The audit of 2026-10-08 (c193#1) named \"lightweight\", \"portable shell only\", \"never invokes a model\" and \"no baseline\" as false. Read again on master 707a04c on 2026-10-18: README.md:20-21 and docs/LAUNCH.md:44,61 still say the product never invokes or calls a model. The 'lightweight' line belongs to I3134, and the 'portable shell ... no server' clause to I2971 (in flight on branch docs/the-fleet-disk-is-watched, not yet on master). README.md:20-21 holds both I2971's shell clause and this issue's model clause, so whichever issue lands second merges onto the first instead of reverting it. The owner's rule since 2026-09-13 is that aspirations are never presented as current features. The issue is post-alpha and does not gate v1.0.0-alpha.1. On 2026-10-18 the session that owns the truth sweep (f6) settled the overlap on the mesh: I2962 and I2963 are committed fixes this issue builds on, and the README and launch-page work f6 had staged as I2971 is carried here instead. It extends milestone architecture-is-enforced. Sources: chatgpt-majordomus:c174#18, chatgpt-majordomus:c193#1, chatgpt-majordomus:c159#1, chatgpt-majordomus:c159#5, chatgpt-majordomus:c190#1.

Current state

README.md:20-21 \"runs entirely locally, in portable shell, and never invokes a model\". README.md:207-212 \"no third class, no severity ladder, no baseline, and no override\", which describes how lib/doctrine.sh and lib/check.sh dispatch a doctrine class. docs/LAUNCH.md:44 \"never calls a model\" and :61 \"it never invokes one\".

Desired state

Each sentence in scope is true or removed, and docs/CLAIMS.yaml binds it to a case that would fail if it became false.

Scope

  • README.md
  • docs/LAUNCH.md
  • docs/CLAIMS.yaml
  • .ai/repo/project/intents

Out of scope

  • Marketing rewrite
  • README.md:7 'lightweight', the product sentence and every page title (I3134)
  • The 'portable shell ... no server' clause of README.md:20 and site/content/getting-started.md (I2971, in flight on another branch)
  • A ratchet-baseline count in README (I3116's table is the projection)

Dependencies

Acceptance criteria

  • The issue edits only the model-invocation clause (README.md:20-21 'never invokes a model', docs/LAUNCH.md:44 'never calls a model', :61) and the override/expedited-landing sentence
  • README.md:207-212 is qualified as the doctrine dispatch of lib/doctrine.sh and lib/check.sh, not replaced with a baseline count; a case fails if either library gains a baseline or override path
  • No README or launch-page sentence contradicts master on model invocation or expedited landings
  • claim-proof-check binds the corrected sentences
  • A new case carrying evidence readme_claims_bound (its number from scripts/case-numbers next, announced on the board when the issue starts) binds each corrected sentence through docs/CLAIMS.yaml claim readme_claims_bound, and intent criterion public-text-true is rebound to that claim

Validation

  • scripts/ci/english-only-check
