Expand description

The provenance a run carries.

Fields§

§commit: Option<String>

Full commit id of HEAD, when known.

§dirty: bool

Was the work tree dirty?

§build_profile: String

debug or release.

§os: String

std::env::consts::OS.

§arch: String

std::env::consts::ARCH.

§version: String

The executable’s version.

§registry_fingerprint: String

The registry fingerprint of the repository measured.

§host: String

The host that measured: the CPU’s brand string and its logical core count (Apple M5 Pro/18). Wall-clock numbers are comparable only between runs on the same host; a baseline recorded elsewhere is reported against, never failed against. Empty when the host could not be identified (older baselines).

§load: String

The host’s 1-minute load average when the run finished, two decimals (3.41): what the samples were measured under. A timing verdict is a statement about a machine as much as about a change, so every finding of a check names it. Empty when the host does not report one (and in documents recorded before it was kept).

Implementations§

Source§

impl Provenance

Source

pub fn of(repo: &Repository, registry_fingerprint: &str) -> Self

This process, this repository.

Source

pub fn platform(&self) -> String

The platform key baselines are kept by.

Source

pub fn same_host(&self, other: &Provenance) -> bool

Were these two measured on the same host? Unknown hosts never match.
