Expand description

The subcommands of majordomus economics: four readers and three producers of evidence.

summary, explain, runs and check are the command line of the economics.* capabilities, which compute every number once for every surface. measure, run and references are the command line’s own: they write records into the repository, spend provider usage or build workspaces on this machine, which no read-only projection offers.

use clap::Parser;
use majordomus_cli::cli::{Cli, Command, EconomicsCommand};

fn parse(argv: &[&str]) -> EconomicsCommand {
    let cli = Cli::try_parse_from(argv.iter().copied()).unwrap();
    let Command::Economics(args) = cli.command else { panic!("economics") };
    args.command
}

assert!(matches!(parse(&["majordomus", "economics", "summary"]), EconomicsCommand::Summary(_)));
assert!(matches!(
    parse(&["majordomus", "economics", "explain", "effective_token_reduction"]),
    EconomicsCommand::Explain(e) if e.metric == "effective_token_reduction"
));
assert!(matches!(parse(&["majordomus", "economics", "run"]), EconomicsCommand::Run(_)));
assert!(Cli::try_parse_from(["majordomus", "economics", "publish"]).is_err());

Variants§

§

Summary(EconomicsSummaryArgs)

Every metric with its class, sample size and interval, the pairs, the segments, the state of the evidence, and the one statement the publication rule allows

§

Explain(EconomicsExplainArgs)

One metric and everything it rests on: formula, class, pairs, runs, exclusions, and how to reproduce it

§

Runs(EconomicsRunsArgs)

The recorded runs every metric is computed from

§

Check(EconomicsCheckArgs)

Refuse an unsupported savings claim: quantities next to the economics vocabulary in hand-written prose, and bound claims whose evidence does not stand

§

Measure(EconomicsMeasureArgs)

Run a deterministic suite (no model is called) and record its measurement

§

Run(EconomicsRunArgs)

Run a live suite: real harness sessions with and without Majordomus, recorded as raw usage and gate verdicts. Spends provider usage

§

References(EconomicsReferencesArgs)

Prove every task’s hidden tests fail on its starting state and pass on its reference solution. No model is called
