The subcommands of majordomus release.

Variants§

§

Changelog

The changelog, composed from the layer’s release records, the decisions dated inside each release’s window, and the conventional commits in its range

Fields

§version: Option<String>

One version or unreleased; every section when absent

§

Version

The version the crate manifest declares, whether the projection the shell tool reads states it, any version written by hand where the tool’s files live, and the bump the commits since the last release imply

§

Analyze

What the public contract did since the last release, and the smallest version this tree may therefore declare

Fields

§since: Option<String>

Measure against this ref instead of the last release

§explain: bool

Name every movement of the contract and the reason it counts for what it does

§

Next

The version a landing of HEAD onto the trunk allocates, and why: the trunk’s version, the measured movement, the policy floor and any exemption (ADR 0134)

Fields

§base: String

The trunk the landing raises from

§head: String

What lands

§

Bump

Raise the version in the one place it is authored, to at least what the public contract requires; scripts/derive derives the rest

Fields

§level: Option<String>

Raise by this much instead of by the measured minimum; never below it

§exact: Option<String>

Set exactly this version; refused when it is below the measured minimum

§dry_run: bool

Say what would change and write nothing
