Knowledge integrity
Every knowledge record is one evidenced, well-formed assertion. It is valid against its schema with no unknown key, its identity is unique and equals its file name, a verified record carries provenance, every reference it names resolves, a superseded record says what replaced it or why it was rejected, a candidate never claims to be verified, and no record carries a conversation.
blocking A violation stops the command with exit 10.
The chain
A rule is enforced only when every link below holds. majordomus doctor resolves each one from the source on every run; this page shows what it resolved.
- 1 Declared majordomus.knowledge-integrity
- 2 Validator mj_validate_knowledge_integrity
- 3 Runs under check, doctor
- 4 On violation exit 10
- 5 Proved by test/cases/707_knowledge_check_refuses_malformed_records.sh
- 6 Run by CI .github/workflows/validate.yml
Where it runs
- majordomus checkIs the current task still consistent with its policy, its scope and this checkout?
- majordomus doctorIt checks governance only: is Majordomus itself healthy, and is every enforcement it declares actually wired here?
What it lets us promise
- guaranteed Every knowledge record is schema-valid with no unknown key, uniquely identified, evidenced when verified, resolves every reference it names, and carries no conversation; check, doctor and `majordomus knowledge check` refuse a record that is not
- guaranteed verified is written only by promote with evidence on stdin or by a person editing the file, never by the deriver; promotion moves the record to curated/ and rejection supersedes it with a reason, each leaving a ledger line
