majordomus blackboard

Who works on what in this repository, on every board and every linked machine: each worker with its client, intent, checkout, branch and claims, the claims that meet, the reviews and handovers that wait, typed relations verified only by an explicit identifier, and whether every source could be read — asked of the server holding this checkout's lease

majordomus blackboard

Usage

majordomus blackboard [OPTIONS]

Arguments

argumentvaluedefaultdescription
--repo <PATH> — Start the search for the repository root here (default: the current directory) (accepted by every subcommand)
--discovery vcs | filesystem vcs How declarative files are enumerated (accepted by every subcommand)
  • vcs — Tracked files, through the version-control index (the layer's contract); a layer none of which is tracked is read from the work tree
  • filesystem — A walk of the work tree with the same glob semantics; untracked files included
--strict flag — Refuse to proceed when any file of the layer carries an error diagnostic (accepted by every subcommand)
--share <DIR> — The tool distribution's share directory (kinds.yaml, schemas/); default: $MAJORDOMUS_SHARE, then the repository's own share/, then the one beside the executable (accepted by every subcommand)
--this-checkout flag — Read this checkout's board alone instead of every checkout's
--for <NAMES> — Comma-separated names of the reader, so that the signals addressed to it are marked for it
--sources <LIST> — The monitor sources the signals are read from, a comma-separated subset of mesh, executor and github (default: mesh, executor)
--format text | json text Output shape
  • text — Lines for a person
  • json — One JSON document, deterministic

Examples

  • Who works on what, with what could not be read

The same answer `GET /api/v1/blackboard` and the MCP tool `majordomus_blackboard` return: every worker of the boards read and of the mesh, the claims that meet, the reviews and handovers that wait, the typed relations and the newest signals, with each source and how it was read. The command line asks the server holding this checkout's lease, which holds the board and the mesh; this fixture has no server, so the answer is composed here and its sources say what that left unread.

$ majordomus blackboard --this-checkout --format json

What it asserts: exits 0; prints one JSON document carrying /complete, /sources, /workers, /conflicts, /cursor.

Tested by apps/majordomus-cli/tests/cli_examples.rs, which runs the command against the built executable and asserts what the page states.

Where this comes from

Declared once in apps/majordomus-cli/src/cli.rs: clap for the structure, typed Rust metadata beside it for the examples. This page, majordomus blackboard --help, docs/generated/cli.md and docs/generated/cli.json are projections of that one declaration.

The whole command line on one page: the registry's command-line page. The task lifecycle (init, start, finish, doctor, ...) belongs to the shell tool, a different program: Commands and its specification.
