majordomus prs repair

Bring master into one named pull request whose only conflict with it is over derived (`merge=derived`) files. Eligible only when the classification says it is behind master and its merge conflicts on no authored path; an authored conflict is refused, naming the files. A dry run by default, decided offline on the last recorded observation, like `status`. With `--apply` it takes the integration lease, observes the forge again, records the act on the trail first, and merges master in a scratch worktree, derives, commits and pushes a fast-forward leased on the observed head; it never merges into master. Exit 10 on a refusal or an absent observation, 12 when it could not act

majordomus prs repair

Usage

majordomus prs repair [OPTIONS] <TARGET>

Arguments

argumentvaluedefaultdescription
<TARGET> <TARGET> required The pull request: its number, or its head branch
--apply flag — Act: take the lease, observe the forge again, record the act, merge, derive, commit and push. Without it nothing is changed, fetched or recorded
--dry-run flag — Decide and change nothing: the default, spelled out
--repo <PATH> — Start the search for the repository root here (default: the current directory) (accepted by every subcommand)
--discovery vcs | filesystem vcs How declarative files are enumerated (accepted by every subcommand)
  • vcs — Tracked files, through the version-control index (the layer's contract); a layer none of which is tracked is read from the work tree
  • filesystem — A walk of the work tree with the same glob semantics; untracked files included
--strict flag — Refuse to proceed when any file of the layer carries an error diagnostic (accepted by every subcommand)
--share <DIR> — The tool distribution's share directory (kinds.yaml, schemas/); default: $MAJORDOMUS_SHARE, then the repository's own share/, then the one beside the executable (accepted by every subcommand)
--format text | json text Output shape (accepted by every subcommand)
  • text — Lines for a person
  • json — One JSON document, deterministic

Examples

  • A repair is decided on the recorded observation, or not at all

The dry run, which is the default, is a read: it decides whether the named pull request may have master brought in from the queue the last recorded observation built, as `prs status` does, and reaches no network. Where nothing was ever observed there is no classification to decide from, so it exits 10 and names `prs refresh`; nothing is merged, pushed or recorded.

    $ majordomus prs repair 1

    What it asserts: exits 10.

Tested by apps/majordomus-cli/tests/cli_examples.rs, which runs the command against the built executable and asserts what the page states.

Where this comes from

Declared once in apps/majordomus-cli/src/cli.rs: clap for the structure, typed Rust metadata beside it for the examples. This page, majordomus prs repair --help, docs/generated/cli.md and docs/generated/cli.json are projections of that one declaration.

The whole command line on one page: the registry's command-line page. The task lifecycle (init, start, finish, doctor, ...) belongs to the shell tool, a different program: Commands and its specification.
